By car:
From the North: Leave the “Autostrada del Sole” Milan-Naples A1 (E35) motorway at the Valdichiana junction and follow the signs for Torrita di Siena and then for Montepulciano.
From the South: Leave the A1 at the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme junction and follow the signs for Chianciano Terme and then for Montepulciano.
When you get to Montepulciano follow the signs for “Centro Storico, Duomo”. Go under the arch into the old town and drive straight on up to the entrance of the hotel where you can drop off your luggage, or turn right and follow the walls of the Fortezza Medicea to the hotel’s private car park.
On arrival in Montepulciano call the hotel for further information.
By train:
Chiusi – Chianciano Terme (on the Rome-Florence line) is the nearest train station. There are buses from here to Montepulciano, and there is a taxi rank at the station. Montepulciano is about 15 minutes drive from the station.
By plane:
The nearest airports are in Florence (Firenze Peretola) and Pisa (Galilei di Pisa). The town of Montepulciano is just a few short train (to Chiusi – Chianciano Terme station) or bus rides away.
